IMPORTANT - HAD A POWER FAILURE IN YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS?
MOST ALARM SYSTEMS HAVE BATTERY BACKUP, HOWEVER, ALL BATTERIES WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL WITH AGE AND EXTENDED POWER OUTAGES.
SOME CUSTOMERS MAY RECEIVE A POWER OUTAGE OR LOW BATTERY CONDITION NOTIFICATION FROM CENTRAL STATION. THIS IS NORMAL. MOST ALARM BATTERIES WILL RECHARGE ONCE THE POWER IS RESTORED, HOWEVER, ONCE THE BATTERY BACKUP IS DRAINED, YOUR ALARM WILL NO LONGER FUNCTION UNTIL MAIN POWER IS RESTORED. WHEN MAIN POWER IS RESTORED, YOUR ALARM SYSTEM WILL POWER-UP BUT MAY INDICATE A TROUBLE CONDITION AND REQUIRE DATE AND TIME RE-PROGRAMMING.
IF POWER HAS BEEN OUT FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME OR IF YOUR ALARM BACKUP BATTERY IS OLD, WE MAY NEED TO REPLACE YOUR BATTERY BACKUP.
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A COMMERCIAL PROPERTY WITH A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM AND THE BACKUP BATTERY IS NO LONGER POWERING THE ALARM SYSTEM, CALL FOR SERVICE AND ASSIGN SOMEONE WITH A PHONE TO PROVIDE A ROUND-THE-CLOCK "FIRE-WATCH" UNTIL POWER IS RESTORED.

IMPORTANT! IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING ALARM SYSTEM THAT TRANSMITS TO A CENTRAL STATION VIA COPPER TELEPHONE LINES, MAKE SURE YOU NOTIFY YOUR ALARM COMPANY OF ANY CHANGES TO YOUR SERVICE INCLUDING DISCONNECTED NUMBERS, A SWITCH TO DSL, FIBER OR CABLE.
YOUR ALARM SYSTEM SHOULD BE CHECKED IMMEDIATELY FOR PROPER OPERATION AFTER ANY CHANGES ARE MADE TO YOUR TELEPHONE SERVICE(S)!
